NEW JERSEY SELLS FOUR $250,000 AS MEGA MILLIONS ROLLS TO $71 MILLION

Carole Hedinger, Executive Director of the New Jersey Lottery, today announced that four lucky New Jersey Lottery players have won the Mega Millions second tier prize of $250,000 for the Friday, January 20 drawing.
One of the $250,000 winning tickets was purchased at Mike's Central Food Inc., located at 59 Central Avenue in East Orange, Essex County; another was bought at Convenience Liquors Inc., located at 1129 Route 46 in Parsippany, Morris County; the third was sold at Welsh Farms #25, located at 1330 Main Avenue in Clifton, Passaic County, and the fourth was bought at Quick Food Mart, located at 912 South Avenue in Plainfield, Union County.
“Congratulations to all of the winners and to the retailers that sold these winning tickets,” said the Lottery's Executive Director Carole Hedinger. “For selling these winning tickets, each retailer will receive a bonus check for $500. They have become four of the Lottery's ‘lucky locations' overnight.”
In addition to the Garden State 's second prize winners, 41,359 other New Jersey players took home $169,868 in prizes ranging from $2 to $150, according to Hedinger.
The winning numbers for the Friday, January 20 drawing were: 01, 09, 28, 38, and 47 and the Gold Mega Ball number was 08. The Megaplier number was 02. With no winner of the top prize, the Mega Millions jackpot will roll to $71,000,000 for the next drawing.
