COLORADO COUPLE DISAPPOINTED AT WRONG NUMBERS PRINT
July 6, 2011

Dorothy and Jim Sprague from Pueblo, Colorado, have lived through one of the greatest disappointments of their lives. After checking their lottery tickets with a local newspaper, they believed they had won the lotteries, but it turned out the paper had made an error and printed the wrong lottery numbers. The couple said that they will always check their numbers with at least two different sources from now on. Lotteries

“I woke up and found out we were millionaires,” Jim Sprague stated.

Overjoyed at the revelation, Jim recounted that he called his offspring to share the good news, believing he was the lucky winner of a $4.3 million jackpot. However, the bitter disappointment came soon after, as the couple became aware that the numbers printed by the paper were incorrect. “We had told my son and my daughter, and we were getting ready to tell our other kids, but we found the mistake, that it was wrong,” Jim Sprague stated. “It’s a good thing that I didn’t talk to too many people.”

Now, a while after the event passed, the husband and wife are able to make a bit of fun about it, but they say the feeling of ultimate frustration is still there. The newspaper blamed “misinformation and an oversight” for the error as it published the correct numbers. The Spragues said that they will not put forth a lawsuit against the newspaper and the dreadful experience only serves to make him want to play the lottery even more. US lottery

“I hope that I’ll find the right numbers one of these days,” Jim Sprague stated.

The newspaper had printed two sets of incorrect numbers for two of the Colorado State Lottery’s games, the Cash 5 and Colorado Lotto. The correct numbers for the Colorado Lotto were 3, 9 19, 25, 28 and 34, while the correct numbers for the Cash 5 drawing were 1, 5, 21, 26 and 31. National lottery

We must express our sorrow for the couple’s disappointment, but we would also like to encourage them to keep their hopes up and keep playing. You never know when you could hit the jackpot, and you really have to play if you want to make it.
