NJ LOTTERY GOES ONLINE
June 29, 2011

The New Jersey State Lottery is preparing to set new trends in the world of lotteries. The lottery officials have decided to make the New Jersey State Lottery the first one to stream the lottery draws on the Internet, and on Facebook no less. The first such transmission will occur on July 1, so just a few days from now. Besides Facebook, Internet enthusiasts will be able to watch the drawings live on the state lottery’s official website. “This is an exciting time for New Jersey Lottery players, retailers, and staff,” New Jersey State Lottery Executive Director, Carole Hedinger, stated. “Live streaming our draw online at NJLottery.net and Facebook will allow for players to interact with us and each other, making the draw a more dynamic experience.”

Carole Hedinger said that the new Internet webpage will provide a more enrapturing experience for lottery players and lottery retailers. It will surely be a first, and this little gimmick just might work and give a tremendous boost to the New Jersey State Lottery. Also, a very cool and useful feature of the innovation is that those who purchased lottery tickets but missed the draw will be able to view it anytime they want, as the video will be stored on the website. The difference between what the New Jersey Lottery is doing and what other lotteries are doing is that the New Jersey streams will be live. State lottery

“Advancements in technology and media now make it possible for us to capture and broadcast our live draws as part of a larger-scale initiative at minimal expense,” said Hedinger. “There’s a great deal more to be seen and heard from New Jersey Lottery than winning numbers.”

Well, it will sure be an interesting thing to watch, and it might finally bring something new to United States lotteries. This new dimension provided by live streaming will surely be appreciated by the thousands of lottery players who would much rather spend time in front of their computers than in front of their TVs. Also, people will be able to watch the lottery even if they are not at home at that particular moment, as mobile Internet has gone a long way. Lottery numbers
