OH LUCKY MAN INDEED !
December 8, 2011

Songs have this unconscious effect upon us, they can pick us up when we are down. Magic occurs when we identify with the lyrics and we feel the music in our veins, but it can also makes us feel sad when we feel the pain that a certain song evokes. What is true is that some tunes stick to us like glue and it is impossible to shake it off until you catch yourself humming the tune and repeating the lyrics almost without even knowing it. Be careful ! Because the way we repeat phrases to ourselves can have the power to shape the way we see ourselves and in turn shape what happens to us. National lottery

One of Karl Hartman’s favorite films is titled “O Lucky Man!”. He loves the tune, it picks him up and after all, that is exactly what he thinks he is. However the Chesterfield resident could claim that he was indeed a lucky man after his latest Virginia Lottery win. He won a total of $405,000 in the November 23rd Pick 4 night drawing. That’s in addition to winning the $5 million top prize in the Virginia’s $5 Million Club Scratcher game in May 2010, and $150,000 playing Pick 4 in November 2006.

He is actually more than a lucky man, he is an extremely lucky man! Some people would give everything to win the lottery once but this man has a history in winning, he could actually start writing his winning resume.

His $405,000 win came when 8-8-8-8 was drawn for the first time since the Virginia Lottery’s Pick 4 game began in 1991.

“Eight has always been one of my lucky numbers,” he said. “This is my play money.”

There is another reason he selected the number eight. That was the number of his childhood baseball hero, Carl Yastrzemski of the Boston Red Sox.

He bought $81 worth of tickets for that drawing. Four $20 tickets each won $100,000. His $1 ticket won $5,000. He bought the tickets at two different locations, at Uppy’s at 7400 Woodpecker Road in Chesterfield and Martins Food Market at 6401 Centralia Road in Chesterfield.

If you are gulping each and every detail of this note, you must sure realize that this man actually has a record in making his tickets give him some type of return. Just imagine he bought a total of five tickets and all of them resulted in a win. The chances of matching all four numbers in exact order are 1 in 10,000 but just think about the chances of you walking in two stores buying five tickets and actually winning all of them. O Lucky Man !!!
