WHAT GOES AROUND $1 MILLION, COMES AROUND
October 31, 2011

Generosity pays, what people usually don’t know is how it is paid back. Sometimes you’re awarded with the smile of the woman who almost stole a heartbeat, other times when you offer to drive someone you will reap a ride back right when you needed it, some other times you simply don’t get anything back. After all, random acts of kindness are performed without actually expecting a reward; you just do it because you feel you want to. Lottery checker

“We offered to give our great aunt a ride to a family baptism and her thank you card had a Lottery ticket in it,” explained Mark and Dianne Cooper, a couple in their fifties who live in North Babylon in Suffolk County. “She doesn’t drive.”

As a token of appreciation for their courtesy they received as a thank-you card with a “Lots of Green ticket” and what they actually receive was their favor multiplied by many, many times. The couple won the jackpot prize of $1,000,000.

“We got the card on September 30th,” Mark explained. “I scratched it at home while Dianne was on the phone ordering a pizza. I had her hang up.” Dianne explained their reaction, “We just stared at it in disbelief.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Kunal & Runhit on Parsons Boulevard in Flushing, Queens. It has not been reported if it was the Cooper’s great aunt who actually bought this $5 ticket or if someone bought it for her. Lottery winning numbers

The happy couple will receive their “Lots of Green” jackpot prize paid annually. Most of the prizes from instant tickets that are awarded in the state of New York are done as an annuity which means the great prize will be paid over a period of time. In the case of the Coopers, they are splitting their prize and each will receive $25,000 (net $16,507) a year for 20 years.

For many, once they receive a windfall the first thing they do is to pay their pending bills or buy a new car or a new home or go travelling. However this couple expressed that their wish in regards to his thank-you windfall is to save this money so that they can treat themselves for an early retirement. Currently Mark is working as a district sales manager for a distribution company and Dianne is a buyer/planner for a defense contractor.
